PSK Ltd is opening its doors into the Kenyan public and corporate business markets, following a landmark installation of CCTV equipment in the country’s capital, Nairobi. The official company launch is set to take place on Wednesday, 28th May 2008 at the Police Headquarters where PSK will unveil a new pilot CCTV system to the Nairobi Central Business District Association.

The pilot CCTV system uses IP static and pan, tilt & zoom cameras, which have been mounted on the outside of Kenya’s National Archives Building – offering a bird’s eye view of the adjoining streets and surrounding areas. The cameras allow operators to zoom in on car number plates and on to faces in the area, and the system has a direct link to the local police for analysis, recording and action.

Electronic component supply specialist Quadtronics has made a key contribution to the installation of a CCTV and surveillance system to the Africa Cup of Nations 2008 football tournament held during February 2008 in Ghana, Africa.

Zada has gained a lot of experience installing cctv into different market sectors. One of the toughest areas has to be oil refineries and oil storage depots. There was an important game on at the Nyayo stadium last week when we were working in Nairobi. So we took Mickey along to have a look. Mickey of course is from FV and provided excellent coverage of the designated area. It was all recorded and transmitted via a Bosch encoder and we were able to quickly show the flexibility of having the video on the stadium network.
